FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why have facial aesthetics done at a dental practice?

Dentists spend their working lives studying and treating the muscles, nerves and proportions of the face, and they administer injections every day in a clinical setting with proper records, consent and follow-up. It's regulated, sterile and accountable in a way that a treatment room above a salon isn't.

Who carries out the treatment?

Lucy Currie, one of our dentists, who has completed training in facial aesthetics. You'll have a consultation with her before any treatment so you can talk through what you want and what's realistic.

How much do treatments cost?

Anti-wrinkle treatments start at £185 for one area, £215 for two and £235 for three. Lip fillers are £240 for 1ml and other dermal filler treatments start from £240. Everything is quoted at your consultation before anything is booked.

Will I look obviously done?

Not if it's done properly. The aim is to look rested rather than frozen or filled. We'd sooner do less and bring you back than overtreat you, and we'll say no to something we don't think will suit you.

Is there any downtime?

Very little. You can expect small raised areas or slight redness for an hour or two after anti-wrinkle injections, and swelling and possible bruising for a few days after fillers. Most people go back to work the same day, though it's worth not booking anything significant for the following 48 hours.
