Instantly transform your smile – minimally invasive. Beautifully natural.

Composite veneers at Marton Dental Practice offer a fast, minimally invasive way to achieve a confident, natural-looking smile. With no drilling or permanent alteration to your teeth, our bespoke approach delivers stunning results – often in just one visit.

What are composite veneers?

Composite veneers are ultra-thin layers of advanced dental resin, artistically applied to the front surface of your teeth. They can correct chips, gaps, unevenness, mild crowding, worn edges, and discolouration – delivering a brighter, more balanced smile with minimal intervention.

Composite veneers vs composite bonding

Composite bonding:
Subtle reshaping or edge refinement for minor chips and imperfections.

Composite veneers:
Complete coverage and transformation of the entire tooth surface – ideal for more significant cosmetic changes.

Why choose Marton Dental Practice for composite veneers?

Advanced cosmetic experience

Most composite veneer treatments at Marton Dental Practice are carried out by our principal dentist, Dr Omar Mahmood, one of the region’s foremost providers. With thousands of composite veneers placed and a reputation for natural, beautiful results, your smile benefits from a level of skill, precision, and artistry that truly sets us apart.

Exclusive trial smile experience

Before your final treatment, you’ll enjoy a unique “trial smile” session. We apply your chosen veneer material and shade directly to your teeth (without permanent bonding), so you can see and feel your new smile in real life. Bring family or friends, take photos, and request adjustments – ensuring you’re 100% happy with the design and shade before anything becomes permanent.

Minimally invasive, maximum comfort

Our composite veneer technique is gentle and conservative. There’s no drilling, no pain, and no damage to your natural teeth. Most treatments are completed without anaesthetic, making your experience as comfortable as possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much do composite veneers cost?

From £339 per tooth. Most people have their upper eight to ten teeth done, and you'll get the total in writing after your free consultation. They're also included in our Align and Rejuvenate package alongside Invisalign, which is the route most of our smile makeover patients take.

Do you have to file my teeth down?

Usually very little or none at all. Composite is added to the tooth rather than replacing part of it, which is the main difference between this and porcelain veneers. Where a tooth is rotated or sticking forward we may need to reshape it slightly, and we'll tell you before we do.

How long do composite veneers last?

Around five to seven years with good care, after which they can be polished, repaired or replaced. We include a one year warranty on our composite work. Porcelain lasts longer, but costs more and involves removing tooth, so it's a genuine trade-off rather than one being simply better.

Will they look fake?

Not if they're done well. The skill is in getting the length, width, surface texture and translucency right so they read as your teeth rather than a set of tiles. Omar holds an MSc in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, passed with merit, and has a particular interest in dental photography - have a look through our smile gallery and judge the results for yourself.

Can I see the result before it's permanent?

Yes. We do an in-mouth trial with the composite we'd actually use, so you can see and feel the result before anything is fixed permanently. Take photos, go away and think about it, show your partner. Then tell us what you'd change - it's much easier to adjust at that stage than afterwards.

Will they stain?

More than natural enamel will, particularly with tea, coffee, red wine and smoking. Keeping up with hygiene visits and having them polished keeps them looking good. If you're a heavy coffee drinker, that's worth factoring in when choosing between composite and porcelain.

Do I need Invisalign first?

Frequently, yes. Where teeth are crowded, rotated or the bite doesn't allow room, straightening first gives a better and longer-lasting result with less material on the tooth. We'll be honest with you about this at your consultation rather than taking the quicker route.

Should I whiten my teeth first?

Yes, if you're planning to. Composite doesn't lighten with whitening gel, so we whiten first, let the shade settle, and then match the veneers to your new brighter shade. Whitening is included in all our Invisalign packages.
