No. We use iTero digital scanners, so we take a scan rather than filling your mouth with impression material. It takes a few minutes and is a lot more comfortable, which children in particular appreciate.

For an adult, a couple of seasons with reasonable care. For children and teenagers it's shorter, because their teeth and jaws are still changing - expect to replace it more often while they're growing. Rinse it after use, keep it in its case, and never leave it anywhere hot like a car dashboard.
If you play contact sport with a fixed brace, yes - a guard designed to fit over it protects your lips and cheeks as well as your teeth. If you're in clear aligners, you'll take them out to play and wear the guard instead. Speak to us and we'll sort the right one.
